It's actually the FAQ's for misc.health.diabetes, which
preceded alt.sup****t.diabetes and still operates.
alt.sup****t.diabetes was started as a less technical and
more sup****tive off-shoot, but has gradually expanded since
then.
Start here, some of it is a little out of date, but as most
of it was way ahead of it's time and most of it is still way
ahead of the ADA that doesn't matter much:
