I would like to third this recommendation; Cytek now services our
FACScan as well as the
Vantage SE, having upgraded both with red lasers for 5-color
detection. They also service
the FACscan's 96-well autosampler and 20-liter sheath systems. Service
has been
excellent. Now that BD will no longer be offering service contracts
for the Vantage, it
would be most helpful if BD would release the service manual.

I second Larry's recommendation. I have used Cytek for our Caliburs,
and have had excellent results, as well as saving almost $4K each
year. Since they are local, I have had excellent response, and no
waiting on an annoying phone queue. Many times (although not always)
my experience with BD has been 1) phone in problem 2) wait for
callback 3) talk to sup****t person and get a referral to Field
Service 4) Field Service calls and schedules a visit. 5) The visit
is
done- usually 2 days after I phone in. With Cytek, I have generally
received 1 day turn-around.
