Newbie help with house search

by ImmaculateConstruction@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jun 1, 2007 at 12:20 PM

Hi,
I'm new here and am posting to help a handicapped friend. He was
injured nearly two years ago and now he and his wife are needing to
sell their house and downsize. I'm wondering if there are resources
in helping find handicapped-friendly housing. They are not destitute
by any means. Their house should sell for nearly 2 mil and they'll
have perhaps 1/2 mil to work with in buying/adapting a new property.
He is wheelchair bound with minimal usage of his arms and legs but
there is hope for improvement in that situation.
Any tips for how to search for handicapped friendly housing would be
appreciated. This is in the Charleston, SC area.

Thanks,
John
