Well went to the drs on saturday and again on sunday and things had
progressed very fast. I was very surprised. They scheduled me to have
the eggs taken out today. At last count I had approx 16 folicles so
when we went in today I expected my typical 9 eggs. All ent as normal
until I came out of the procedure room and started to wake up all
groggy and they said that they had gotted 12 eggs. TWELVE EGGS??!! I
immediatly woke up and was surprised and excited. WOO HOO! I have
never had that many. DH thinks he gave a good sample today too, but
even if he didn't they have his frozen sample.
I should get the call tomorrow with the fertilization. I am still not
getting myself too worked up because as we all know fertilization is
the key part in this whole thing. They could call and say that after
fertilization we only got 1 embryo. So I am prepared for that. But the
positive side is that typically about half of the eggs that get
fertilized work and then about half of those turn into blasts; so even
if you figure that we should still end up with 3. 2 to put back and 1
to freeze. Sounds good to me!
