Hi Everyone,
news at the top of this hour --
I was surprised to get a call today telling me it was a 3-day transfer
rather than 5-day blastocyst --
Of the 6 embryos, 3 were developing too slowly and 3 were ok (grade B;
1 was 5% fragmentation, others 10-15%; 2 8-cell ones, 1 7-cell one).
They were concerned about whether they'd make it to day 5 so they
transferred to me the 3 that were doing OK -- overall, there's a 30%
chance that I will be pregnant with 1 kid (risk for multiples is very
low at this stage, and for my case).
They also did assisted hatching to improve the chances...
None of it was painful - except having to drink 60 oz water in one
hour (had to go to the bathroom really badly during the whole thing).
I'm ok now :)
We'll know in 2 weeks (march 31 testing) whether we got lucky.
We've done everything we can, at this point it's in God's hands --
warm wishes to all,
Yael
ps Jade how are you doing? are you on for tomorrow?? ;)
