Thanks for your input!
We have to go in August. DH's sister lives in Orlando and is having her
first baby. She is due August 6. We are going down on the 14 because we
have to be back before school starts (20th). I wish we could go later,
but
I won't pull Abby out of school for a vacation, and we want to see the
baby
before Christmas, so August it is.
I did see the free meal special, but it doesn't start until Aug 24, so
that
is too late for us. I called Disney directly, but it was cheaper to book
the whole vacation (flight, hotel, and car) through Southwest vacations.
We
are getting a great deal.

April,
I have always stayed at "value resorts" and they have always been fine
for us. Pop Century is the newest of the Value Resorts and I have
heard good things. We love All Star Movies and stayed in the Buzz
Lightyear building. The kids loved it! And, for us anyway, all we did
was sleep there! I don't see spending the big bucks for the hotel. I
think everything at Disney is great.
If you have any questions planning, I am a plethora of Disney
knowledge! LOL
The last few years they have run a special for a free meal plan in the
months of Aug. and Sept. You usually have to book by June 30. FInd out
about that. If they are having it this year.
And, God Bless Ya....Florida in August???? Yikes! Oh, I forgot you are
a teacher. I was gonna say if they had the same prices in September it
is worth taking the kids out of school.
