Re: Happy mothers day

Thanks, Afsi! Hope all the moms here have a wonderful day!

I got to sleep in this morning! :) Rayna kept coming by and peeking in to
see if I was awake yet. As soon as she saw that I finally was, she told
DH,
and they surprised me with breakfast in bed! She brought all these cards
that she had made for me, and she presented me with this super secret
project that her class had been working on at school (the parents knew the

kids were doing something special for Mother's Day, but we didn't have a
clue as to what it was). It was a "recipe book" that the teachers had put
together that consisted of each child's favorite food that his/her mom
prepares for him/her and how it's prepared (in the child's own words). The

"recipes" were hilarious!! I was laughing so hard! An example of a recipe:

"Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients: a box of bread mix, blueberries

Mix the dough and the blueberries. Put the dough in a pot with little
holes
that has covers on the end. Put the pot in the oven 155 degrees for hours
and hours, maybe 10. When it comes out, it's ready. Eat it up! You
certainly
got to try it." ;)

Rayna's recipe was for my chicken corn soup with rivels, and I was
surprised
by how accurate she was with both the ingredients and the procedure (she's

seen me make it lots of times, but I didn't think she was really paying
attention to details). Some of the others were almost real recipes, too.
But
most of them were like the recipe above. :) Too cute!!
