Re: Low sperm count & catholic alternatives

Pat,

I am in a very similiar situation being Catholic and infertile. IUI's
are not allowed by the Catholic church either. Give her my email if
she'd like to talk, though none of the options are easy if she wants to
follow the church's teachings.

I talked to a seminarian about the issue and he told me that the church
said it was wrong, but if someone came to confession afterward, he
would grant them absolution.

My email is lhotard79(at)yahoo(dot)com. Tell her to put
A.I.Alternatives in the subject line.

We moved on to adoption through the state, but have not made a decision
on whether or not to do fertility treatments at a later time.

Lisa
