Congrats on your plan. I have adopted 2 children from the state. One
was 3 and the other was 12 weeks. She was not drug exposed. Not all
children or babies from the state are. My oldest was drug exposed and
she is in the tops of her class. She has had no problems from the drug
exposure, however, she has issues from her former foster home.  I didnt
have her as a baby so I dont know about the crying thing. This Monday
we will be welcoming a surprise addition to our family through the
state. One of our daughters birth mothers is pregnant with twins. She
is having a Csection on Monday. I will be attending and taking the
babies home when they are released. The birth mother isnt a drug addict
and doesnt drink. She has a mental illness which prevents her from
caring for her children.
