Joni-
When Kai came to live with us, she just turned 12 months. We were advised
by the adoption director to keep her like a "younger" infant for a few
months (i.e. hold her bottle, carry a lot in a carrier or arms, feed her
at
her night wakings, to do "holding" time everyday and try to stimulate eye
contact) to help her to "attach" to us as her caregivers/parents. She
ended
up being weaned from formula/bottles by 16 months or so. It took about
2-3
months before she was truly attached to us as her "parents".
Hope the poo problem is solved soon!
