It didn't work out, of course, but it opened a new door for us.  At
least it was able to get dh to consider adoption, which is a huge step
for him and now we at least have the possibitity of other family
building options.

Thanks so much for the great advice and warnings.  Dh and I are
considering getting certified anyway.  We can always change our minds
later if it becomes too much heartache for us.
