I think normally it can take a while to get certified, although of course
the length of time may vary from state to state. But, if they don't have
enough homes to foster infants, they may well be able to do an emergency
certification which would enable them to get you certified and get that
baby
into your home sooner, rather than later.
Best of luck. It sounds like a really promising situation! I'd go for
it!
