Wow! What an interesting thing that has dropped into your lap. One
question in addition to Jamie's, is if the boy is available to adopt,
would you run into any problems in that you haven't yet (I don't
think?) undergone the homestudy, etc approval process? I know that
those things can take awhile to go through, and it would be awful if as
you were going through it they gave the boy to someone else? I'm from
a.i.primary, so all those that know more, correct me if this is an
impossibility, but it would be something I would worry about.
On the other hand, even if it only is a foster situation, maybe you can
still enjoy being the influence on this little guy's life for awhile?
Also, what does this do to your plan to get a high school exchange
student-- can you do both?
