Old topic that I'm replying to. My dh learned more about the National
Geographic one. For men, it traces the Y chromosome only (father's
father's father, etc.). For women, it traces your mother's mother's
mother, etc. So it's not a very complete picture. But it's more
affordable than other choices at $100.
L quioted an article that mentioned another DNA ancestry search that is
more complete. It is much pricier at $400.
My dh is extremely interested in this and is completely willing to pay
the $100 for the first one. Not so sure about that pricier one right
now...
