Mason has been home since 10/18/05. He is doing just wonderful. He is
growing and changing so much every day. He is gaining weight on an
average of 8oz to a pound a week. He was up to 15 lbs last friday at
his doctors visit. He is a very happy and content baby. He rarely
ever cries. We are treating him for parasites but he still has
explosive diapers that keep me with a load full of laundry most of the
time. Regardless those are getting a little better with time too. He
is bonding/attaching with us really well. He has grasped the concept
that I am always going to come back and doesn't cry hysterically
everytime I leave a room now. He cries and reaches for me if he wants
me but will continue playing if I leave when he is content. He has
started sleeping a little better at night and is only up 2-3 times to
eat and have a diaper change instead of 6 times trying to eat and
blowout poopy everytime. He can sit up for a few seconds unassisted
now before tipping over. He is not crawling yet but I can see him
getting closer to figuring it out everyday. His looks appear to be
changing. This is a hard one to explain. It is like he is growing
into himself and filling out with a more softened appearance. He is
not as hysterical about food as he used to be. In the first week or
two he was home it was almost like he would overeat and cry when he was
not hungry just to make sure we had food on hand. Luckily that has
calmed down. He is not a big fan of solids or eatign anythign froma
spoon. He will take cereal, sweet potatoes, and bananas from one of
those feeder bottles. He will not eat fromt eh spoon. He shakes his
head at us and bats our hands away unless we get him at just the right
moment and mood. Doing that is almost impossible. I am finally
figuring out how to get a little done at a time and dealing with 4
hours of broken sleep a night. I have got to get on the thank you
cards. Speaking of which I better run while I have a few minutes. If
you want to see pics let me know at smith.joni at gmail dot com (remove

uploaded to shutterfly.
