On a date that is yet to be set in late February I am to go before a
formal hearing with the Virginia Department of Medicine, in Richmond,
VA. It is my intension that this hearing will be made public and open
to the media. I have practiced medicine in the Commonwealth of
Virginia since 1981 and in that time I have had no incidents on my
records, no patient mortality, no complications, and no malpractice
lawsuits. The purpose of the formal hearing is to determine if my
medical license is to be suspended or revoked. As of this time I have
not been formal charged with violating any legal codes or laws in the
Commonwealth of Virginia, and the Department of Health Professionals
has yet to show any evidence to back up the allegations against me.
This decision to go forward the hearing despite the lack of proof I
believe is a political decision. I am board certified in Radiation
Oncology and Otolaryngology, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery, yet area hospitals refuse to allow me to offer my services to
their patients or to extend physician privileges to me. They are far
more concerned with their own medical profits than they are with
providing the best medical care.
It is my plan to organize a protest in front of the Department of
Health Professionals offices in Richmond, Virginia on the day of the
hearing. The aim of the protest is to ****ne the light of truth on the
American Health Care System, that it is more concerned with profits
than it is with actually helping patients. I invite the media to
attend the hearing and the protest. The actual date of the hearing
has not yet been set; I can forward that information to you when I
receive it. Please contact me via phone so that we may discuss this
matter further. Thank you for your attention.
