Generally, they move on to something else.
I had a practice, was doing embarrassingly well in it, but part of
that
was responding to callouts. Tennis elbow here, a sprain there, and
they wanted me enough that they paid for my time from when I left
my house till I walked back in the door.
The table work was gratifying, but I was an adrenaline addict. Other
stuff beckoned, especially emergency responder activities.
Nowadays I'm a lot more sedate, and as side activities I train (for
free)
couples with fibromyalgia how to do safe and effective massage, and
every so often I get to mention that sorta stuff in the newsgroup.
