Hi Lara-
I don't know about the Lemonade diet, I only fast with water only. The
more flavor you put in your mouth during a fast, the more you will want
food. Your stomache will demand it. So, I only ever fast with water,
distilled.
I can tell you that if you are new to fasting, you should gradually
work up to two weeks. Go for a couple days every month or so, until
you feel comfortable about fasting. Two weeks is a long time, you may
not think it so, but it is.
Get some of the Arnold Ehret books:
http://www.arnoldehret.org/healthclub/the_health_club.html
They are a good read. He also has a laxitive (in pill form) that works
good. He has the recipe for it in one of his books for tea form. That
took us a lot of driving and 3 stops to get everything the first time,
the pills are much easier (they are at our local health food store).
Also, the pills are easier for a person on the go. Take them on your
way home from work and they will work there way through you in a couple
hours (your results may vary).
I had chronic heartburn for years, until my first 7 day fast, then it
was gone.
My girlfriend was lactose intolerant for years, she fasted for 9 days
when I did 7, and that took care of her problem.
It just may work for your milk problem.
Going about an hour after you eat is what a lot of books say is the
ideal amount of time that it should take.
Try more fiber and less fruit to counter the diarrhea.
I am no expert, just someone who read a bunch of books and tried some
of what I read.
Good luck.
