I have some problems with my teeth and not sure how to proceed -
First Issue - I have 2 teeth need to be extracted as they cannot be saved
without root therapy - I don't want to risk infections so I am reconciled
to
having them extracted. The
bridgework that will be required will cost around US$8,000. I was
thinking
of having the teeth extracted here (Australia) and going overseas
somewhere
if I can find a dentist that is recommended in a 3rd world country like
India, Thailand or Malaysia - or wherever if I can have it done for a
fraction of the price. Even my dentist agrees that is a good option if I
can
find a good dentist. Just wondering if anyone here as any advice or can
recommend a dentist in my part of the world (i.e. not Mexico or South
America)
Second Issue - I have 4 mercury fillings that I decided to have removed
for
health reasons -
the dentist I am seeing regards himself as "semi biological" - he takes
what
he considers adequate precautions i.e. I would have an oxygen mask during
the procedure plus one of those heavy mats that go across the body. But
he
is not involved with chelation or the nutrition aspect - he says he
doesn't
believe in it. He would simply remove the 4 amalgans (2 on one side one
day
and the following week he would remove the 2 on the other side of my
mouth)
He says that removal of mercury is what he does day in and day out.
Would it be a mistake to have these removed in this way?
So can you please assist with any advice
I am 63 years old and in general health is ok
Thanks
John
