Thanks, Alex. I had no idea something so gross (to me, at least) and
so funny could possibly be life threatening.
I know that YouTube is very popular and as it attracts all ages, have
implemented age-restriction protocols to reduce the chances of minors
from accessing restricted content.
I did not receive such a notice prior to accessing that particular
video and knowing the quality of Theo's regular contributions, assumed
it was (moderately) okay to post here.
Now admittedly, I know nothing of female physiology compared to
others. My question: "is this for real" was a sincere question.
Theo, I respect the honesty and openness of your replies and am
grateful for them. They have made me realize that, as I do volunteer
work that involves children, that alt.healing.reiki is not a place
that I can promote for one to experience Reiki from around the world.
I would like to, but today I am involved with parents of minors.
My opinion, Theo, is that your response is inappropriate to be read by
a minor unless the parent read it first and was by their side when it
was being read. That at least, would allow the parent to discuss the
topics introduced even further.
Now make no mistake - I'm not going to be the pot calling the kettle
black. I am very guilty of being very extreme with my posts in the
past and accept full responsibility for such posts. I also take
responsibility for changing, as well. If I recall correctly, it was
my public apology to Nitya that signified a turning point in my
participation here, which also resonated outwards to other areas in my
life.
Several years ago when I was homeless, in pain, in need of healing and
acceptance from others, I would have been able to continue with this
conversation, but not today.
That level of discussion, that topic of discussion, is something that
I simply do not need in my life any longer.
I respect your right to be able to post whatever it is that you want,
whenever you want, about anything you want. This is an unrestricted
newsgroup where anyone may post anything.
I am grateful for your reply because I have realized that it
represents a part of my past that is, clearly, a part of my past. I
just don't need it for discussion, and realizing my changes further,
believe it is quite inappropriate in a Reiki discussion group that
does not offer age-restriction protocols.
Again, I wish to repeat that I have made my share of contributions
that are inappropriate here. I will emphasize with this post that I
have changed. The level of discussion introduced by Theo is not for
me and I feel it is inappropriate.
I would not, in good conscience, refer someone who needed healing to
Theo. However the reply by Alex was in very good taste - I would not
hesitate to refer anyone in need of healing to Alex.
Love & Light,
Stephen Buck
