You might think that, but for some of my headaches, rubbing tender spots
on the feet lessens them, or makes them go away. In the meridian system,
the channels that start on the head, end on the feet and since pain is
a blockage of energy, rubbing the feet, (or giving reiki to them) can
clear that blockage.

Those three areas cover the major organs of the body too.

I was told that one should give reiki to oneself for 21 days after an
attunement at the 7 chakras on the 3 levels of the body - physical,
mental and emotional. One chakra per day focusing on the physical, then
going through them again for the mental and emotional levels. It's one
way of doing it.
