The way I understand it is quite simply one action... "intention"
If you are thinking about what you want to heal and have the intention
of Reiki flowing to that person, place, situation, thing, time, etc then
so be it.
In my opinion, Reiki will possibly flow more freely if you are in a
quiet relaxed state where your mind is not busy with other things, but
it will still flow if you have got the ball rolling by intention.
Your initial "prayer" only took about 30 seconds or less to read. how
can that be time consuming or boring? it's not like you are having to
meditate for 30 minutes to "invoke" Reiki.
I have never felt Reiki flow so can't tell to what degree "preperation"
for chanelling Reiki makes, I just think it better to "intend to send"
and just do it if I don't have time to practice all the technicalities.
