Hi J,
I'm the Alex that Garry and Sue mentioned, I'm a 69 year young male and
I have written about my death in this group often in the past eight
years.
It isn't easy to explain Life after life simply, other than to say that
the J that is reading this is a biological being that has a limited
existence.
Every thinking being has what can be thought of as a eternal soul that
has been recording every experience of that biological being since it
was in the womb. Our biological brains and memories aren't very
efficient, but the memory of our soul is infinite because each of our
souls is a part of an infinite soul.
As Sue said, Children, animals and some people can perceive disembodied
souls, but as we grow up we are taught to ignore our imaginary friends
and the things adults believe we children are just imagining.
Contrary to what Garry said each of us *are* *individual* parts of an
infinite spirit and after we leave this physical existence we will
continue to exist as *individual* parts of that infinite spirit and what
we experience in that existence can be infinite.
Could Paul have been visited by his dead grandfather? Sure why not. It
sounds like Paul needed an intervention and granddad supplied it.
Could his three year old son and the spiritualist perceive the spirit of
granddad? Sure, I am often visited by spirits that want me to tell their
loved ones something, but I learned long ago I am not cut out for the
job of spiritualist so I simply tell them to find their own way of
contacting the living.
