If you don't mind me jumping in to your dialogue....
It seems that young children can `see' or sense other dimensions than
most adults do, so it isn't surprising that it was the 3 yo who first
say Grandpa. Most of them are told it's imaginary or to stop making
things up, which is why many adults aren't able to `tune' in the same
way. Some adults, such as the spiritualist, are able to see things we
can't. As does Alex, whom Garry mentioned; he's kept the ability since
childhood, I believe.
